Dubai is a fabulous melting pot, full of interesting people who have all come here for varied reasons and all with a story to tell. It can, however, be a lonely place and it definitely is a place, that because you came here on your own or maybe in a couple, you need to make the effort to socialise, put yourself out there and make friends. What I find so annoying, because we have all been the newbie at some point, is that within a group of friends there is always the person or couple that seem reluctant to accept the newbie into their group or clique. How childish?! Its just crazy! Chill you might actually make a new friend instead of being determined to use your energy to dislike and unwelcome them! Its so sad that you try to belittle and give them the cold shoulder. Word of warning my 'friend', people soon progress and are no longer the newbie and your playground antics don't wash with adults, I mean real adults. Grow up and read Who Moved My Cheese, change is inevitable.
