Despite all the smoking bans supposedly everywhere, why is it when I come home from a night out I still stink of fags? I can't get over how many bars here still allow smoking? Its not even as if its a hardship to stand outside in Dubai with the wonderful weather. People manage it in the UK despite the rain! I really believe that they should enforce the No Smoking ban everywhere once and for all. Its a disgusting habit and people around you shouldn't suffer because of you cancer causing, smelly pastime. Please Dubai, Ban Smoking in Public Places!

When in Rome, do as Roman's do! This is the Middle East, and historically smoking is part of their culture. If you want to compare it to the UK, perhaps you should go (back) there! We all make sacrifices when living in different cultures, and Dubai is apart of that - take the good with the bad. Besides, talking of bars, I assume alcohol-based venues. Perhaps we should also ban that disgusting habit, since we do live peacefully & secure in a muslim country.
