Just bought a dvd for my toddler which was rated as a great sing-a-long nursery rhyme dvd. I read the back, all the oldies but the goodies Row Row Row Your Boat, Humpty Dumpty, Grand Old Duke Of York etc. Had won a child award. Great I thought, will give that a whirl, 55dhs. Get home and what the?? Its two polish girls, who can't even speak english, miming to Twinkle Twinkle Little Star whilst dancing around with umbrellas and absolutely nothing whatsoever to do with the track playing? I forwarded to next track, Humpty Dumpty, worse, two polish girls jumping up and down on beds whilst not even miming to the track. How is it companies are allowed to make these dvd's?? Not suitable at all for children, possibly for my husband but seriously not fair. People these days just seem to be cashing in on the success of some amazing companies that have done beautiful educational dvd's and books for kids. They think its easy and just make up anything. Its the same with children's books, I bought some old classics recently that couldn't decide if they wanted to rhyme or not so half way through the book stopped! Stop trying to make a quick buck and leave it to those with talent!
