Able Bodies Using Lifts

Since having a baby I now have to get the lift in the shopping malls with the pram and it struck me how many people that are able bodied queuing to get into the lift. Why would anyone want to stand waiting for ten minutes to squeeze into a small lift with ten other people instead of just taking the escalators (which are usually within view of the lift). I think it's LAZINESS. It's driving me crazy!

Ever notice it's only certain people who do it as well?

Example - the Metro lifts, it's only ever Filipino ladies. What's up with their chronic laziness? You can actually see them sigh if they have to take the stairs. Same if they don't get a seat on the train - they just stand there glaring at men who won't give up their seats.

    Pathetic.

Haha, so true, wondered about that one so many times. My girls are almost teenagers now and we wouldn't dream on taking the lift now. Even when they were in their pushchairs
I loathed the times I had to take the lift... strange world!

I've seen people standing in their two perfectly functional legs, not let people in wheelchairs ride the elevator first... what's going on through those people minds? Air? no, that would be too much...
